2010 door panel removal

I want to get rid of the POS factory speakers but can't get the panels off. I popped the white clips along the bottom no problem, but I don't see any buttons covering screws for the door handles. Any help would be appreciated. BTW I saw an earlier post on getting behind the the HU so the only thing holding me up is these damn doors.

Re: 2010 door panel removal

I've got the same question. Would someone be so kind as to post the answer? I've been wanting to get in there and see what size speakers I really have, and whether I'll be able to fit 6.5" drivers in there.

Thanks.

Re: 2010 door panel removal

I can't post it here because the information is located on another site and M3F will block the link. If you have the standard audio system, the speakers are 5x7 in the doors. The Bose uses 6.5's, but it's the same opening so you'll need to get/make an adapter plate. Not sure about the depth, but it really depends on if you're using a plate and how thick it is. The sites I've been to say 3" for depth.

Re: 2010 door panel removal

It's not another thread - it's another site. The instructions are all pics and I'm not going to rip them off. Sorry. Since M3F doesn't seem to like linking to other communities, I will restrict it to PM's.

Re: 2010 door panel removal

We should have a section here for 2010's since so many things are different on the second generation 3's. Then they wouldnt have to get paranoid about us linking to other forums.
