Hi I just swapped my interior seats and door cards on my 08 3S with the SP23 leather seats. Previously the light never came on even without it buckled. But now it is always on and beeps only when I buckle the seat belt. When I unbuckle the light and beeping turns off, it's as if it's wired backwards. I don't know if the previous owner modified the stock seat so the light never triggered. But now something is messed up. I want to know if swapping the wiring between the 2 seats is easily done or if there might be another solution. Thanks
Unfortunately, I don't have the original buckle I bought this car used with the assurance that the belt warning wasn't an issue. I've been looking everywhere online, but can't find a driver's side buckle for air bags... Guess I'm just screwed.
From my experience the buckle from the black cloth seats in the s model is different from the buckle in the sp23 leather seats. They were the brown leather ones, i'm not sure about the black leather seats but i'd assume they are the same. I think I just unplugged the connector under the seat for the seat belt and the beeping and light went away. There are 2 plug ins under the seat, am I correct in assuming the other one is for the airbag? Leave the other one plugged in. I ended up switching back to stock seats, now I get no beeps or light at all, buckled or not it doesn't matter. But strangely the dash indicator light comes on, but doesn't beep, when the passenger seat belt is buckled, and is off when unbuckled.
You have to use the original wire with the yellow connector there should be a right up I went to speed 3 seats I basically swapped everything over, I'd assume you'd be able to take I to Mazda and have it programmed if anything
I have this same issue. I found on some board that you just need to use a 2.4ohm resister to resolve but that didn't help for me. I tried swapping the buckle, but the bolt is a slightly different size. I have leather with side airbags and my car is the '06 2.3 S. I'm really annoyed. I don't want to disconnect because then airbag warning, and funny thing is that if I connect it and leave my seatbelt off I get not lights. airbag and seatbelt is happy. But when I buckle that's when I get the seatbelt warning.
