Hi guys, Hold your breath! Great news to tell you that Eonon has released the new Android 4.4.4 Car DVD GA5163F with Quad-Core CPU for Mazda 3 2010-2013. It's a remarkable unit with many awesome new features. :nice: Here I would like briefly introduce to you, just hope it will help you know our unit better and the unit can meet your demand!
Main features of GA5163F: -Quad-Core CPU -Android 4.4.4 OS -Support Mutual Control Between Head Unit & Your Android Smart Phone
-Capacitive Touch Screen
-Support Wifi & 3G Connection
-8 Dynamic Background Pictures
-Fully DIY Buttons Colors

The product page specifies, "Compatible with Analog Bose System." Could you elaborate? Does this mean Bose users don't have to do the low-level RCA soldering mod? Thanks!
So EononCarDVD are all the problems fixed from the GA5163 in this new model or does it also have the battery drain issue and you have to switch the wires?
Hi guys, do you know Eonon Android Car Stereo supports OBD2? And how to connect the OBD2? We would like to share the how-to video here, hope it will help. :wink2:
Hi guys, we find an awesome video of GA5163 Android Car Stereo of our fan from Youtube. :nice: Is it cool? Would you like to share with us your GA5163/GA5163F? Let's see how it rock the world. Cheers! :grin2:
I must say the service is extremely poor, it takes at least a day to reply to any questions and at most you get a single line response in broken English. Once the order was made (using their website) and paid for using paypal. I asked if they could do a deal on a review camera they then got my return email wrong (even though I was communicating to them asking them questions Via email). Anyhow they never sent it out and said that my order had never gone through (even though I had an order confirmation).
After a few back and forth's I finally managed to get them to find the order and send it out - a real hassle.
Hopefully the unit works better then what their poor service does.
I bought this unit for my GF for the very reason to be able to use Bluetooth controls Via steering wheel as per Eonon advertising. Now you are telling me it's not possible?
If I receive the unit without this function I will be extremely disappointed.
Hi randomm, so sorry to hear that. But we found that the Email you left for the order (which is actually out of reach) is not the same with the one you contact us. That’s why it took some time to confirm with you. We would recommend our customers to use the same actually. But no worry now we know your case clearly and will answer you even faster no matter via Email or in the forum. And enjoy your unit soon!
About the Bluetooth calling control, if the volume control & mode of steering wheel are in the same electrical line, then this function will be remained. So please kindly check your car carefully. Thanks!
If they are in different electrical line, you don't need to worry too. For your GF's sake, we will give you a proper solution which will satisfy both you and your GF!
Hi Ridilla, I would like to tell you that the unit's program & project are designed like this way, it is normal actually. But tell you a good news, I have asked our techs, if you really cannot use this function, you can try the below way for checking:
First, you need to confirm whether your car's Bluetooth calling control is realized via AD conversion method or CANBUS?
Second, if it is AD way, then please find out the Bluetooth calling control in your car, and connect it to our unit's steering wheel control cables separately for checking.
If it is realized via CANBUS, then this function will not work, hope you can understand it.
And thanks for your suggestion, after confirmed with the factory, we will change our site’s ads asap. You will see it will be updated soon.
Installed - As everyone has clearly mentioned (after I bought it -_-) the Nav and bluetooth steering controls do not work. The mode, volume info ect do work.
Hi randomm, firstly, so happy to hear that you have received the unit safely.
Secondly, about the NAVI button, you need to install a navigation app first, and please set it by following the steps in this picture:
Then the NAVI button will take you to the navigation app directly.
Thirdly, about the Bluetooth calling control, please try the AD way as I provided for Ridilla before. And our customer service will reply to your email too, you can also contact them directly if this function still doesn’t work, they will give you a proper solution via email, please rest assured, thanks.
Next question, is there a way to Auto reduce brightness? I have selected in Settings' Auto' but it doesn't seem to make a difference. During the day it needs to be up but at night, if it can be turned down all the way or a a way to turn off the display? To reduce light pollution?
Hi stephens_0n, according to our experience, you don't need to do the RCA mod for the BOSE sound system to work. It is just plug and play. Please have a try.
If this is true, is it because of a new canbus adapter or wiring harness? Could people that purchased the dual core unit get this new harness (my soldering if very bad and would like something I know is providing the best quality possible)?
Would also like proof from someone that purchased this unit that the bose system is now supported with no mods.
Hi guys, today, I would like to share with you guys an awesome video of GA5163F Android Car Stereo from our fan Fernando Farfan. A big thanks to him here, good job. :nice:
You will see how YouTube, Google Store, games and steering wheel control features etc work great on GA5163F unit. :yay:
Hi randomm, for the consideration of safety, the unit is designed like this way when reversing, just like you cannot drive after drinking, hope you can understand it.
About the Bluetooth, yes, it will be better for you to use an external Mic, and you can also change other phones for checking.
Btw, if you are not satisfied with the unit, you can choose refund, and our customer service has sent email to you before, please kindly check your email, thanks.

This makes no sense what so ever? What are you trying to tell me.
I am saying it would be great to be able to have the screen turn off whiles remaining functional for audio/bluetooth. How on earth does this relate to drink driving. I would love to turn it but I will probably lose $50-$100 in postage. My own fault for not buying a quality unit of an equal price from a local dealer.

Hi randomm, sorry that I misunderstood what you said. But no worry, happy to tell you that just long press the MUTE button on the panel, then it still can keep music when you turn off the screen. Please have a try now, thanks.
I actually think you can turn the screen off while the audio still plays if you have custom firmware installed. I can't confirm it at the moment but I know I've done something in the past to have a black screen but the radio playing, using Malaysk 's firmware.
The auto dim doesn't work though, installed the microphone near the claster- it works okay but a fair bit of road noise probably should go up above the review mirror.
