2009 Mazda 5 Front lower control arms
In an effort to fix the front end issues, I bought new front lower control arms and proceeded to remove and install new ones. The drivers side one came out and a new one went in with very little issue aside from having to remove the brake rotor for clearance and some issues getting the rear to bolts to line up properly. The passenger side has given me some grief though. The control arm wasn't connected when I tried to remove the brake rotor which resulted in some 'movement". Now when I go to reinstall the new control arm, the ball joint seems to be about 1" to far inboard to connect to the knuckle. Is it possible I knocked something out of alignment by banging on the rotor without the control arm connected? It looks like the alignment is out because if I put the steering wheel straight, the drivers side looks straight, but the passenger side appears slight turned. Is my next step to disconnect the axle in order to get some movement for the knuckle? I have confirmed I have all the right parts, but am at a bit of a loss. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
