Can ABS Module be separated from ABS Pump?

Hi All,

I have an 09 M3 S Touring and the ABS and traction control lights are on. Consensus states that the issue is likely the ABS module and that the pump is probably fine. Going with this logic, I purchased the entire assembly thinking that I could simply remove the module and replace it while leaving the existing pump on the car so as to avoid having to mess with brake lines/fluid/bleeding, etc.

I've watched several videos for non-Mazda vehicles where the module is easily removed by removing a few screws but that does not look to be the case for this car for some reason....In looking at the unit (which is apparently off of a 2006 model without Turbo but with DSC, which is correct for my car) I see of no obvious way that these 2 pieces can be separated.

Referring to the attached pic, I am trying to remove the bottom black piece (module) from the rest of the assembly (pump/valve assembly).

Has anyone done this and can confirm that the module can be separated?

Thanks,
Eric B.

Disregard. I figured it out. Just have to remove the 2 torx head screws on the pump assembly (round black part on top in the pic). Those screws are driven down through the silver valve assembly and into the bottom black module part. Easy peasy.....I just didn't think it would work that way.
