What is the correct part# for rear brakes on 2005 Mazda 3?

Hi folks,

I am looking to purchase the original Mazda rear brake pads on my 2005 Mazda 3 (2.3l). When I called most online dealers, they told me that the correct part# for my car based on my VIN is C2Y3-26-48ZB. Upon receiving the item, it looks different from the original part. The original part has some kind of anti-rattle clip on the back of one of the pads (inner pad) but the new one does not have one but it does have the wire which is located on the top part of the pads. Please see attached pictures. Can anyone confirm if the new pads will not cause any rattle or if anyone has installed with these new pads model? In the past, I have been using Hawk Performance brake pads which squeals pretty bad when braking due to its ceramic material but less dust but its back plate does have the anti-rattle clip like the original. I tried two different Hawk brake pads and they all squeaks. So I am going back to original pads to avoid these squealing. According to the online dealer, the old part should be BP4K-26-48ZB but it does not look like people are selling these parts anymore. Can someone please share their experience ?

Google "OEM Mazda parts" and you will receive tons of online dealer catalogs where you can get part#. I believe, there are 2 lines of Mazda brakes [and other parts] - cheap and expensive. May be you've got the cheaper one.

Experience - sure. I recently put on the rear of one of my Mazda3s Pepboys pro stop platinum, which they claim is made to OEM spec. I don't know about the material but the pad back plates, for the first time in my experience with aftermarket parts, were precisely made and didn't require any filing of paint, or anything like that. They fitted perfectly.

fyi mazda did update the rear pads several times and this was the final improved design
