Suspension upgrade

Okay, so I'm a little below two weeks of ownership of my 2008 Mazda 3 s Touring hatchback and am loving it so far. But, either the shock, spring, or shock mount on the back left tire is making some occasional noise when cornering hard or taking large bumps at anything but a crawl. I figure since I'll probably need to replace something there, that I may as well just do both rear wheels; and if the read has better suspension than the front may as well too.

I've decided to get one of these two sets:

1) https://tinyurl.com/zpdus3u

2) https://tinyurl.com/hwm7knq

There's no review on either, so I was wondering if anyone had experience with either of these before? If not, is there any set similar that you'd recommend? I'm trying to keep it under $800. I don't plan on doing autocross/racing, I just want a really good set of shocks/springs for all-around general road use.

Those are definitely a great pick, I absolutely love those struts/shocks for street performance.

By "occasional noise" is it a knocking sound? If so, then it could be the trailing arm bushing.

I'm picking up the second set you listed this week. Everything i read on it makes it seem like a great buy. Is there a complete diy guide for it? Mine is a 2007 so we're working with the same stuff.

Just go through that thread and head to the last couple of pages. I list/show the latter parts where the arm has been removed. Once you do one you realize how easy the job is. It was more complicated for me because I replaced everything.

KYB's are another good replacement especially if you want to keep a stock feel.
