need help diagnosing problem: Wheel play and front passenger wheel seems loose

so i need help diagnosing what this problem could be. There is wheel play on the front passenger side when i move the tire around compared to the other side. Also it seems more prevalant when its wet and the wheel/axle seems to give way and i loose some traction on turns only. Any one know what i should be looking for under the car? Please help. I've previously replaced the struts, passenger motor mount, tires.

could it possibly be the wheel bearings?

Could be. Could be tie rod ends, too. And perhaps control arm bushings, but to a lesser extent.

as steering is kind of important i would have a professional shop give you a quote
are you finding movement front to back ,
top and bottom rocks in
or as in steering left and right rocks in

It seems to only occur during wet rainy times. I jacked up the car and everything looked ok except the control arm. Grease all over the driver side control arm. Could this describe the problem?

With the wheel on I couldn't get any wheel play in steering or the wheel. Up, down, side to side, anything. Maybe the rain makes the control arm slip a little and describes my issue about the wheel giving a bit?

The grease on the control arm is most likely due to a torn CV boot.

If something is loose then you most likely should be able to feel it in the wheel when the car is jacked up. If not then you have to start prying on things.

I would seriously have that entire front end looked over really well if you're not fully familiar with everything going on up there. Just sayin.
