Hi everyone! I have a 2005 Mazda 3 SP23. I installed the magnaflow cat back exhaust about a month ago, and im looking into the exhaust further. Ive been looking for a test pipe to delete the second cat but i cant find one, they are all for the mazdaspeed. Also, they are illegal in my county so no shops will do it. Does anyone have a link to their test pipe or where i could get one, Thanks!!!
Yeah, catless isn't what it's cracked up to be. High flow cats are close enough in performance, and your eyes won't water when you walk behind your car.
Just take measurements of what you want and give them to a shop with no explanation of what its for. It would just be a straight piece of pipe with a flange on one end.
Cool, thanks for the clarification. I just put a new cat on my wife's CR-V because the stocker destroyed itself turning itself into a test pipe of sorts. The substrate wound up in the muffler. That car has an O2 sensor fore and aft of the cat, so that's why I replaced it. I found a direct bolt-in OEM substitute from Magnaflow for $110 shipped from Advance.com after stacking coupons and SpeedPerks. Not too shabby a price if you ask me.
