I have a 2006 Mazda3 S and wondering if anyone has done a short throw/ short shift swap on one? And what brand is best? Any help is great thanks!

Was coming in to put a link of a TWM..... but apparently they don't make them for the gen1s anymore?

Corksport I believe still does.

Go ahead and buy some solid shifter bushes from JBR as well (or corksport if you get a full kit I believe they sell).

Otherwise, I've seen some ripoff short throws of the Mazdaspeed brand on eBay, so may be worth checking out there as well.

Whatever you do though, in addition to, get the solid shifter bushes. Makes ALL the difference!

I did the EXACT same thing about two weeks ago, so out of curiosity I contacted them. Dude linked me to that, which I already had up on another tab so I too had a durr moment lol.

Computer live chats on websites that have it available are life savers. We all know how annoying it is to call and get someone you can barely understand.

I got one of the cheap Ebay ones and I don't like it.

Seems like it didn't change anything about the shifting other than tilting the shifter slightly in towards the driver. The solid bushings have a better feel to them though, definitely swap those out.

*edit* My car in the 2006 3s as well.

That's the Mazdaspeed version, well.. what you got of course was a ripoff.

Some are adjustable in height though that I've seen, it wasn't originally that much shorter though, but it is a bent shape indeed to bring it tighter to the drivers' leg.

A friend had one and I drove his car once.
Other than the fact his 2nd gear was blown out making the experience as bad as possible in a 2.0L, I ... yeah I didn't like it either.
