Mazda 3 Vs. Honda Fit

Hey everyone I'm new here. This seems like a pretty cool forum. Anyways I just got back from test driving a Mazda 3 5 door. I'm in the market for a new sport compact. I have to make a switch from my 04 mustang because of gas and I need something with more space. The Mazda 3 by the way was fantastic. Amazing response and a generous amount of engine power. Right now it's first on my list. However, I was wondering if anyone here had any insight on a comparison between the Mazda 3 five door and the Honda Fit. I still haven't tried out the Fit mostly because they're fairly new and still not available for test drive in Miami. To me the interior of the Fit seemed kind of cheap and flimsy, but the emissions and the MPG numbers are very attractive. Does anyone have an opinion on Honda's new Fit? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Mazda 3 Vs. Honda Fit

the fit is ugly, to boxy, looks smaller than the 3 and the body style doesnt flow as smoothly as the 3 does...

**and you thought that wouldn't get removed?

Re: Mazda 3 Vs. Honda Fit

Parked my 3 hatch next to a Fit at Target the other day. The Fit made the 3 look like a Lexus. I think the thing even had 14" wheels! Like gib said, they're not even in the same class. Fit is bargain-basement, altho you can't argue with Honda reliability. I think I'd rather have a Scion xB than the Fit (both are ugly, but at least the Scion toaster is stylishly ugly). You can prob get into a 3 sedan for about the same as a fit, and you'll enjoy it much more.
