Mazda3 "Sport" headlights use the H7 lamp for low beam (55W), a 9005 lamp for high beam (65W), and H11 for fogs (55W).
GT trim level has HID lamps for low beam.

OH my bad, i meant it will work with H7 only but make sure it is 55w. the difference is in the size of the bulb. H4 is bigger, the socket is bigger too. H11 is for the foglights and the socket is much different than h4,h7. I changed my bulbs to PIAA 8000k yesterday H7, it is really really nice. Eurolite isn't that good, their color isn't high enough. Is yours around 4k-5k? Usually a nice white or blue needs to be above 5000k.
changing light bulbs in the 3 is not the easiest thing to do imo...much tougher than a vw.
i swapped my high beams with much brighter sylvania silverstars.
